Day 4
thoughts:-
'Expectation exchange' is needed – cdh idea ? spooky. We did “Class ethos” in pastoral. Someone has had this idea before………..
Organised class seating into boy / girl. See how it works for Y9S.
What About “if you lot are silent during register / messages, you can talk afterwards”?
Get a maths set with a protractor
prep pastoral stuff, and plan better
sort out classroom – make it feel like ours
could spend another lesson on ground rules / expectations discuss with Nia. Me to lead?
Think about how to engage the brighter pupils
Accept a certain level of chat?
Recapping is good, and asking questions settles the class well
Must decide on best plan for tom
Its ok to ignore minor interrupters – you don’t need to answer every question
is It good to ‘put down a marker’ at the start of term – spell out what is expected ? how long does this last?
Pc’s linked to the net with a projector work well.
I notice a lot more if I don’t get too involved with the class. I must get as much out of the next two weeks as poss, before I teach
